Project Overview
Motorcut is an AI-powered automotive image editing platform designed to help vehicle dealerships and automotive businesses create professional-quality vehicle images quickly and consistently. The project involved redesigning both the mobile application and the admin panel to improve usability, streamline content management, and enhance operational efficiency for administrators and end users.
The redesign focused on simplifying complex workflows, introducing missing functionality, and creating a scalable product experience that supports business growth while maintaining a clean and intuitive interface.
Project Execution
As a Product Engineer, I collaborated with stakeholders, designers, and developers to define product requirements, optimize workflows, and ensure seamless execution across both the mobile application and the admin platform.
My responsibilities included:
- Conducting product discovery and business requirement analysis.
- Defining functional requirements and documenting Product Requirement Documents (PRDs).
- Designing end-to-end user journeys for the mobile app and admin panel.
- Leading the redesign of critical administrative workflows to improve usability and efficiency.
- Identifying product gaps and proposing scalable feature enhancements.
- Defining business logic for user management, subscription management, support workflows, and AI background management.
- Collaborating closely with UI/UX designers to improve navigation, information hierarchy, and overall user experience.
- Supporting Agile sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the product lifecycle.
Key initiatives included:
- Complete redesign of the admin dashboard and analytics experience.
- Enhanced user and advert management with advanced filtering and search capabilities.
- Redesigned background library with public/private asset management and user-specific assignments.
- Improved subscription management and support ticket workflows.
- Added operational tools such as maintenance preview functionality and enhanced notification management.
- Designed the mobile application experience to align with the platform's AI-powered vehicle image editing workflow.
Project Results
The redesigned Motorcut platform delivered a more intuitive and efficient experience for both administrators and end users. By simplifying navigation, improving information architecture, and introducing essential administrative capabilities, the platform significantly enhanced day-to-day operational efficiency.
The redesigned admin panel reduced workflow complexity through better search, filtering, and content management, while the mobile application provided users with a seamless image editing experience. Together, these improvements created a scalable product foundation capable of supporting future enhancements, increased user adoption, and more efficient platform management.
